Etihad Airways celebrates new service to San Francisco
Etihad Airways has strengthened its commitment to the US with the launch of a new daily service between San Francisco and Abu Dhabi. The carrier hosted a cocktail reception at the San Francisco City Hall to celebrate the new service, bringing together over 300 guests from across the business, travel trade, government and diplomatic community.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has capped an incredible 12 months by unveiling its first Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 aircraft to more than 200 of the world’s media in Abu Dhabi. The doors to the airline’s two new flagship aircraft – in the distinctive new ‘Facets of Abu Dhabi’ livery – were opened for the first time to reveal the new cabin interiors, which include the ultra-luxurious Residence by Etihad, the only three-room suite in the sky.

Etihad Airways today revealed its much anticipated new uniforms at a spectacular show in Abu Dhabi, paving the way for a new age of glamorous and sophisticated flying. Created by Italian haute couturier Ettore Bilotta at his atelier in Milan, the new uniform exudes a classic elegance seldom seen in the aisles of modern airliners, and cleverly merges dramatic elements of old world haute couture from 1960s Paris and Rome, with the more contemporary fashions evident on the runways of London, New York, Milan and Tokyo.
Etihad Airways signs codeshare deal with Hong King Airlines
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, and Hong Kong Airlines, an internationally-acclaimed airline, have signed a codeshare agreement to provide travellers with enhanced connections between Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Subject to regulatory approval, Etihad Airways will place its ‘EY’ code on Hong Kong Airlines’ flights between Hong Kong and Bangkok, allowing business and leisure travellers to book a round trip between Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi via Thailand’s capital.
Etihad Airways reaffirms commitment to South Africa Airways partnership
Etihad Airways and South African Airways have announced a major expansion of their strategic partnership, marking a new era of cooperation between the two national flag carriers. As part of the extended cooperation, South African Airways will launch a daily service between Johannesburg and Abu Dhabi on March 29th 2015, which will complement Etihad Airways’ existing flights between the two cities to offer a combined double-daily frequency on the route.
Etihad Airways’ new livery touches down at London Heathrow
Etihad Airways’ stunning new livery will now be seen by thousands of air travellers every day as they pass the ‘Etihad Roundabout’ by Terminal 4 at London’s Heathrow Airport. EU approves Etihad alliance with Italian flag-carrier Alitalia
Alitalia and Etihad Airways have received merger clearance from the European Commission. They can therefore proceed with the proposed strategic partnership which was announced in August. Following the completion of its review, the European Commission today confirmed that the partnership complies with the European regulations on competition.
