Emirates has confirmed it will boost its services to Switzerland with the start of a daily A380 service to Zurich. “There has been robust demand for business and leisure traffic and the extra capacity will stimulate more trade and tourism between Switzerland, the UAE and emerging markets eastbound - including ten destinations in India and 24 destinations in the Far East and Australasia - connecting both people and economies,” said Thierry Antinori, Emirates, executive vice president, passenger sales worldwide.

Emirates has inaugurated its refurbished Paris Charles de Gaulle Lounge for First Class and Business Class passengers as well as Platinum and Gold members of Emirates Skywards - the airline’s frequent flyer programme. It is the first of the airline’s existing worldwide network of lounges to be refurbished in the new interior design, originally unveiled within Emirates’ Concourse A Lounges in Dubai earlier this year.

Emirates has confirmed it will increase capacity on its services to Colombo from June 30th, with the addition of three more flights per week. The addition of three more services, which will operate between Dubai and Colombo on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays, will increase the number of flights between the two cities to four each day on those days, and take the total number of weekly Emirates flights serving Colombo to 31.

JetBlue Airways and Emirates, the Dubai-based carrier, have announced intent to expand their current partnership to include bilateral codesharing, pending FAA and DOT regulatory approval. Under the expanded agreement, JetBlue will place its “B6” airline code on all flights currently operated by Emirates between the United States and Dubai International Airport, as well as between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Milan, Italy.

JetBlue Airways (JBL) and Emirates revealed their intent to expand their current partnership to include bilateral codesharing, pending FAA and DOT regulatory approval and subject to receipt of foreign government operating authority. Under the expanded agreement, JetBlue will place its “B6” airline code on all flights currently operated by Emirates between the U.S. and Dubai International Airport, as well as between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Milan, Italy.

Dubai-based airline Emirates has revealed plans to trial a new shisha lounge on its fleet of Airbus A380 aircraft. The carrier said the lounges would be available to business and first class passengers on several of superjumbos from next month.
