Manchester Airports Group has reported adjusted EBITDA of £380 million for the year to March 31st, up 5.9 per cent on the previous year. The increased was supported by a significant programme of investment in new facilities and infrastructure at Manchester and London Stansted, the group said in a statement.

A plane has been forced to make an emergency landing at East Midlands Airport after being diverted from Birmingham Airport due to a minor technical fault. A spokesman for the airport confirmed that the First Choice flight, which was travelling from Barbados, landed safely after being at 05:40 GMT following the diversion.
