With availability remaining in both Pullman Dining and First Class, the two circular steam-hauled experiences, departing from London Paddington, have been designed to celebrate the joy of spending quality time together. The Spirit of Summer Lunch

The Spirit of Summer Lunch is the perfect way to enjoy a leisurely afternoon aboard a beautifully restored vintage steam train. Departing London Paddington at 10:15, guests are welcomed aboard by liveried stewards before settling into opulent vintage carriages, where exquisite marquetry, sumptuous interiors and impeccable service evoke the golden age of rail travel. The journey winds through the picturesque Thames Valley towards the Dreaming Spires of Oxford before returning via the rolling countryside and ancient woodland of the Chiltern Hills. While a delicious seasonal lunch is served, guests can savour exceptional cuisine, soak up ever-changing summer scenery and enjoy uninterrupted conversation before returning to London Paddington at approximately 14:30.

Guests can choose between First Class and Pullman Dining. First Class offers spacious seating, a welcome celebratory drink and complimentary tea and coffee throughout the journey, with the option to bring a picnic or purchase drinks, snacks and a traditional Afternoon Tea (supplement applies). For a more indulgent experience, Pullman Dining includes a glass of Champagne and canapés on arrival, followed by a three-course seasonal lunch crafted using the finest seasonal ingredients, accompanied by half a bottle of wine per person, before concluding with coffee and petit fours, all served at impeccably dressed tables with crisp white linen, fine China and attentive silver-service hospitality.

The Sunset Steam Express

For those looking to make the most of the long summer evenings, the Sunset Steam Express offers a unique and nostalgic way to spend an evening with friends or loved ones. Departing London Paddington at 18:00, the iconic 70000 Britannia takes charge for a steam-hauled journey through the Chiltern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As the sun begins to set, rolling chalk hills, ancient woodland and picturesque countryside are bathed in a golden glow, creating an unforgettable backdrop for an evening of great food and conversation before the circular journey returns to London Paddington at approximately 21:30.

Guests can choose between First Class and Pullman Dining. First Class includes a welcome glass of sparkling wine, complimentary tea and coffee, with the option to bring a picnic or purchase drinks and light refreshments throughout the journey. Pullman Dining offers a premium dining experience, with a glass of Champagne on arrival followed by a seasonal three-course dinner, accompanied by half a bottle of wine per person and concluding with freshly brewed coffee, all served in stunning surroundings by attentive onboard stewards.
