Embraer and SkyWest have signed a firm order for nine E175 jets, with deliveries expected to begin in 2019. The order has a value of US$422 million, based on current list prices, and was already included in Embraer’s 2018 fourth-quarter backlog.
Delta Air Lines has reported adjusted pre-tax income of $5.1 billion for financial 2018, a $137 million decrease relative to 2017 as the company overcame approximately 90 per cent of the $2 billion increase in fuel expenses.
Airbus will produce the A220-300s at a new US assembly facility in Mobile, Alabama. Construction of the plant, to be located adjacent to the existing Airbus A320 assembly facility, will begin later in January.

Complementing the airline’s existing daily service to New York-JFK, the seasonal Boston route will offer customers more travel options from Edinburgh to the United States, with two flights every day during the peak summer months.
Delta Air Lines has reported adjusted pre-tax income of $1.6 billion for the September quarter. Adjusted earnings per share were $1.80, at the high end of guidance and up 16 per cent compared to the prior year quarter.
Delta Air Lines’ first A220-100 has taken off on its first flight from Mirabel airport, Québec. The aircraft was crewed by A220 programme test pilots.
Delta Air Lines will increase travel options to the US from London Heathrow next summer, offering a daily flight to Portland International Airport, up from four times weekly this year. The carrier will also offer a twice daily service to Detroit’s Wayne County Metropolitan Airport.
