Air Europa welcomes first Boeing Dreamliner to fleet
Air Europa is celebrating the delivery of the carrier’s first Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Air Europa takes delivery of its first 787 Dreamliner following a ceremony held at Boeing’s 787 assembly site in North Charleston, South Carolina. Air Europa leased its first 787 through an agreement with SMBC Aviation Capital.
Norwegian welcomes first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to Gatwick
Low-cost airline Norwegian’s first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will fly into Gatwick for the first time later today where the aircraft will be used to serve the UK’s only direct low-cost flights to the US. The larger Dreamliner will arrive at Gatwick for the first time on a flight from New York JFK. Its first departure will be on the UK’s only direct flight to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Norwegian welcomes first Boeing Dreamliner 787-9 to fleet
Norwegian has taken delivery of its first 787-9 Dreamliner. “This marks our continued commitment to the company’s global expansion ensuring travellers across that world access to high quality flights at a low fare,” Norwegian chief executive Bjørn Kjos said. Norwegian already operates eight 787-8s and will use its 787-9s to launch new routes across North America, South America and South-East Asia.
Etihad unveils new Dreamliner destinations for 2016
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, today unveiled plans to fly its Boeing 787s to five more destinations during 2016. With a phased delivery of five new 787s over a seven-month period, beginning May 2016, the 299-seat 787 Dreamliners will be deployed as replacements for existing aircraft on daily scheduled services to Dusseldorf, Perth, Shanghai, Istanbul and Johannesburg from the airline’s Abu Dhabi hub.

Norwegian places $5bn Dreamliner order with Boeing
Boeing and Norwegian have finalised an order for 19 787-9 Dreamliners valued at more than $5 billion at current list prices. The order also includes options for ten more 787-9s, as the carrier looks to significantly grow its existing long-haul fleet into the next decade.
Oman Air welcomes first Boeing Dreamliner to fleet
Boeing and Oman Air today celebrated the delivery of the airline’s first Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The airline ordered six 787-8s in November 2011 as part of its expansion plans. “We are delighted to receive our first Dreamliner which combined with Oman Air’s award-winning service will provide an excellent travel experience for our customers,” said an Oman Air spokesperson.
British Airways welcomes first Boeing Dreamliner 787-9 to fleet
British Airways’ first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner has arrived at Heathrow to take its place in the airline’s fleet. Following an eight hour 45 minute flight from Seattle, the aircraft (registration G-ZBKA) touched down at its new home at 08.50 local time. . It is the first of 22 787-9s the airline is set to receive from Boeing, with the next due to arrive in mid-October and a further two expected by the end of the year.

Vietnam Airlines welcomes Boeing Dreamliner to London Heathrow route

The UK hub becomes the first international destination on Vietnam Airlines’ network to be served by the new aircraft. After touching down at 09:18 this morning, aircraft VN-A861 was officially welcomed by Nguyen Van Thao, Vietnamese ambassador to the UK.
United Airlines to bring Boeing Dreamliner to London-Los Angeles route
United Airlines has announced it will enhance the on board experience for its customers travelling from London Heathrow to its hub at Los Angeles International Airport, by introducing the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to the daily non-stop service from April 6th, 2016. The visionary design of the Dreamliner offers customers many features for increased comfort such as large windows, spacious overhead storage and modern LED lighting to simulate a full day, helping passengers adjust their internal clock on the trans-Atlantic flight.
