JAL Group has confirmed its Boeing 787-8 aircraft will return to service in sequence after June 1st 2013 after safety tests have been completed on the modified planes. Boeing has been working around the world to install modified ion batteries on the 50 Dreamliner aircraft currently in operation after being given the go ahead by aviation authorities.

All Nippon Airways has confirmed it will resume Boeing Dreamliner flights in June after the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau issued a revised Technical Circular Directive for the plane. ANA is the largest operator of the aircraft in the world, with a fleet of 17 Boeing 787s.
