Alaska Airlines is powering up customer waiting areas at its major airports with electrical outlets that make it easier for travellers with electronic devices. At its airport gates in Anchorage, Portland and Seattle, the airline just finished installing 200 additional electrical outlets, each of which includes a 120-volt receptacle and two USB ports.
Alaska Airlines is planning to expand its Anchorage-Los Angeles service starting April 8, 2013, a route the carrier has flown during the summer for several years. The expanded service includes a daily daytime flight most of the year and an additional nighttime flight during the summer.

Alaska Airlines inaugurated biofuel-powered passenger service this afternoon with two flights from Seattle to Washington, D.C., and Portland, Ore. Alaska Airlines announced today it is expanding its service between San Diego and Hawaii with a daily nonstop flight to Honolulu. The service begins Nov. 17, 2011, and complements the airline’s existing daily nonstop flight between San Diego and Kahului, Maui, which started in October 2010.
