Air Transat has announced the appointment of Liz Langan as UK sales manager with responsibility for southern England. With over 15 years of experience in airline sales, Langan joins Air Transat from Oman Air, where she was a key account manager, before previously holding account manager positions at Air Canada and Etihad Airways.
Air Transat has unveiled a new livery as the carrier marks its 30th anniversary. The new look was unveiled at Air Transat’s facilities at Montréal–Trudeau airport, which was attended by 375 partners and guests.
Air Transat has responded to rising demand from Scottish travellers by increasing capacity by 12 per cent on services from Glasgow this summer. Air Transat has launched Scotland’s newest route, with a service from Glasgow Airport to Montreal Pierre Trudeau Airport. The new weekly flight, which runs until October, connects the province of Quebec to Scotland for the first time. Montreal is Canada’s second largest city with a population of just over 3.5 million people.

Air Transat and its 1,500 flight attendants, represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) have reached a tentative agreement for a new labour contract. The 5-year agreement would expire in 2015 and will be submitted shortly to ratification by the flight attendants.
