The iconic InterContinental Genève has welcomed Jacky Tresch as the newly appointed director of business development.

In his new role, he will lead new business opportunities while strengthening commercial and marketing activities of the establishment, elevating the business to new heights.

“I am truly delighted for the opportunity to build on the present success of the InterContinental Genève and evolve its legacy.

“It is a very exciting time to be joining the first international hospitality brand in Geneva after undergoing a major refurbishment last year,” Tresch commented.

Tresch brings with him over 25 years of international expertise in the luxury hospitality sector.

His journey started with obtaining a degree in a Hotel Management School in Strasbourg. 

His training began at the Strasbourg Hilton in the operational field before he decided to step into the corporate sales and marketing domain.

In 1994, he progressed as the international commercial director of the Hospitality and Congress division of the diverse portfolio of Vivendi.

The Frenchman’s unwavering pursuit and dedication saw him promoted from 2000 to 2006 at Sofitel Hotels & Resorts, first as the worldwide market positioning director and then as vice-president of sales and marketing for Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

During his tenure, he played a key role in formulating and implementing sales strategies, which opened doors to the prestigious hotel Le Richemond in Geneva.
