Tour operator Trafalgar has appointed two new members into its Trafalgar Asia office, Sanjay Temkar as director of sales (India) and Mae Cheah as director of sales (Asia).

In his new role as Temkar is responsible for enhancing sales growth in India, including business development and portfolio management.

Likewise for Cheah, in her new role she will be responsible for increasing sales growth within south-east Asia, especially the key markets of Singapore, Malaysia, India and The Philippines.

She will also manage major key accounts, create innovative marketing strategies and enhance business development within the region.

With both having no less than 30 years of experience put together, the pair are no doubt well versed on the coming and goings of the travel industry.

Nick Lim, president of The Travel Corporation (Asia) and regional director of Trafalgar (Asia) said about the appointments: “We are pleased to have these two very established and decorated individuals join the Trafalgar family. This reinforces our commitment to further grow the brand and business with our trade partners here in Asia.”

Trafalgar began as a group travel company in 1947, and was subsequently acquired by the Travel Corporation in the 1970’s.
