The Big Jubilee Lunch set to join communities

Brits and tourists across the UK will be celebrating hand in hand with street parties, food, music and decorations, as a record number of people are expected to participate in The Big Jubilee Lunch.

Forming part of the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations, The Big Lunch was launched by the Eden Project in 2009 in a bid to get as many people as possible across the UK to have lunch with their neighbours in an act of community, friendship and fun.

Falling on the same weekend as Jubilee celebrations this year, Buckingham Palace announced The Big Jubilee Lunch as part of the main programme of events.

Last year nearly two million people took part in The Big Lunch.
