Diamond Jubilee concert set to take place today

A star studded line up of performers including Paul McCartney, Elton John, Robbie Williams and Stevie Wonder will be performing in the BBC Concert at Buckingham Palace as part of the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations.

Brits and international visitors are among thousands who will tune in to enjoy the celebrations over this extended weekend.

The musical extravaganza will feature artists from every decade of the Queen’s 60 year reign, who will play on a spectacular stage in front of Buckingham Palace.

Other highlights will include performances from Mdness, Ed Sheeran, Jessie J, JLS, Kylie Minogue, and Alfie Boe.

Organised by the BBC and Gary Barlow, hosts include Rob Brydon, Miranda Hart, Lenny Henry and Lee Mack. Proceedings conclude with HM the Queen lighting the National Beacon.

10,000 members of the public were selected to receive free tickets for the London event.
