TAP Portugal to add two new USA routes this summer

TAP has announced this week two new daily non-stop services from Lisbon to Boston’s Logan International Airport commencing on June 11th.

The Portuguese carrier also confirmed a new departure to New York’s John F. Kennedy International on July 1st.

The new flights are in addition to TAP’s existing services to Miami and Newark.

These routes will grow to a daily service this summer increasing TAP’s US service to 30 flights per week.

To further improve TAP’s fleet and service, the airline will operate the new routes with two new Airbus A330’s to be delivered in June, thereby increasing its long-haul fleet to 20 aircraft.

The new aircraft will have a new cabin configuration aimed at improving customer experience.

Fernando Pinto, TAP chief extrusive commented that “it is really exciting to expand TAP’s international service now to four US gateway cities”.
