Super 8 Hotel Brand opens milestone 2,200th Hotel

Just minutes from landmarks like Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple, the hotel is an example of the brand’s aggressive expansion in the country, since its entrance into China in 2004. In seven years, the brand has grown its presence in the country to include 275 hotels.

“Super 8’s success can be attributed to its winning combination of quality and value, which has been embraced by hotel developers as well as travelers around the world,” said John Valletta, president of the Super 8 brand.

In addition to its expansion in China, the brand announced a deal in March that will bring a minimum of 10 Super 8 hotels to Poland over the next five years. The deal marks the entrance of the Super 8 brand into Europe.

Located at No. 19 Duodi Road in the Tibet Autonomous Region, the Super 8 Hotel Lhasa DuoDiLu offers 59 rooms and features amenities that include free high-speed Internet access, complimentary outdoor parking and an on-site business center. In addition to its proximity to area landmarks, the hotel is within short driving distance from Lhasa Railway Station and approximately 90km from Gonggar Airport. The hotel is owned by Tibet Tian Yi Hotel Management Co., Ltd.

The Super 8 hotel brand, a member of the Wyndham Hotel Group family of lodging brands, is a chain of economy hotels located throughout the United States, Canada and China featuring single double and suite accommodations. All properties in North America offer complimentary high-speed Internet access, expanded cable television, in-room coffeemaker and SuperStart® continental breakfast. Select properties offer meeting and business facilities, fitness centers, swimming pools and allow pets. Children under 17 stay free with a parent.
