Super 8 by Wyndham has today revealed plans to expand its footprint in Germany, with the opening of new hotels in Hamburg, Berlin, Mainz, Koblenz and Augsburg by the end of 2021. The news comes in addition to the recent launch of a new Super 8 by Wyndham hotel in Dresden.
Wyndham Hotel Group has announced the expansion of its development agreement for Super 8 with established partner GS Star. In addition to expanding the brand in Germany, the agreement now includes development of Super 8 hotels in Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
Wyndham Hotel Group has announced the groundbreaking of its first Super 8 hotel in Germany, the 160-room Super 8 Munich. Developed by GS Star, the hotel is the first of ten Super 8 hotels to be developed in the country as part of a previously signed multi-year agreement between Tristar Hotel and Wyndham.
Wyndham Hotel Group has signed an exclusive development agreement to create 20 Super 8 hotels in Turkey over the next 10 years. With over 2,300 properties throughout the U.S., Canada and China, the brand has more hotels than any other economy hotel chain in the world.
Wyndham Hotel Group, the world’s largest hotel company as measured by number of hotels, announced that it has entered into an agreement with Brazilian real estate company EmCorp to launch the Super 8® and Wyndham Garden® brand offerings in Brazil.
The economy brand with the most hotels around the world, Super 8 Worldwide, announced the opening of its 2,200th hotel: the 59-room Super 8® Hotel Lhasa DuoDiLu in China.
The hotel was sold for an undisclosed price and will remain a Super 8. The Buyer is planning modest upgrades to the hotel and is looking forward to the busy summer season.
