Stansted Airport welcomes new flights to Larnaca, Cyprus Cyprus Airways is welcomed back to Stansted Airport

Stansted Airport has marked the return of Cyprus Airways-operated scheduled flights to and from Larnaca with a water arch salute by the Airport Fire Service.

Flights will operate seven days a week with a range of fare options from “economy saver” to “business freedom” to suit all passengers and budgets, whether taking a short trip or checking bags in for a longer getaway.

The Sunmiles frequent flier programme will also be popular with business and leisure travellers connecting regularly on this new service.
Larnaca International is the largest airport in Cyprus, located on the south coast just five kilometres south of the City known for its warm climate and palm tree seafront.

Welcoming the return of Cyprus Airways new daily scheduled service to Larnaca, Stansted Airport’s managing director Andrew Harrison said: “Stansted has more scheduled connections across Europe than any other UK airport so to expand that network even further with the launch of new direct services between here and Larnaca is a very exciting development and I’d like to wish the airline every success with this new service.

Flights depart Stansted daily at 12:45 arriving into Larnaca International at 19:15; with return flights to the UK departing each day at 08:45 and landing back at 11:45.

Cyprus Airways commercial manager, Christos Agapiou said: “We are delighted to announce the commencement of our operations to/from Stansted Airport.

“We truly hope that our new route will strengthen even further the longstanding ties of Cyprus Airways with the British traveling public.

“We would like to thank all our customers for their enduring support and to promise them that we shall spend our best efforts to continuously improve our schedules and services.”
