Simmons steps down at easyJet

UK director Paul Simmons is set to leave low-cost carrier easyJet after seven years with the organisation.

Simmons joined the Luton based-carrier in June 2006 and during and has been responsible for overseeing the commercial roll-out of many new initiatives.

These have included Speedy Boarding, easyJet Plus and GDS distribution in recent years.

Simmons also led oversaw leisure sales and easyJet holidays.

He is expected to stay within the industry.
