Seychelles Tourism Board and ASEAN Chamber of Commerce meet
Alain St.Ange, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, was received by Su Lone Kyan, the President of the Macau ASEAN International Chamber of Commerce, for a meeting in Macau when the Tourism Board official was on a working visit.
At the headquarters of the Macau ASEAN International Chamber of Commerce, Alain St.Ange, accompanied by Sidney To, the Minister Counselor; John Yao, the Adviser to the Minister Counselor; Jean Luc Lai-Lam, the Tourism Attaché at the Seychelles Embassy in Beijing; and Su Lone Kyan discussed avenues for cooperating and for raising the visibility of Seychelles in Macau and the ASEAN countries.
Possibilities for investments in Seychelles was also discussed, as well as air access. Su Lone Kyan has already visited Seychelles and confirmed to the Seychelles delegation that possibilities existed for a delegation from the Macau ASEAN International Chamber of Commerce to visit Seychelles in May this year to look at the potential for a Victoria based investment with a hotel, casino, and shopping arcade.
It was also agreed with the Macau ASEAN International Chamber of Commerce that they would assist the Seychelles Tourism Board to have a Seychelles promotional activity in Macau in July following the participation of Miss Seychelles in China. This would enable the Tourism Board to launch the face of Seychelles in the promotional of the islands. The Tourism Board said at the meeting that the Seychelles tourism private sector would be invited to be present to showcase the island’s attractions and infrastructure as had just been done in Hong Kong.
