New festive flights for Key West, Florida
Snowbirds who want to fly south to the sunshine and warmth of the Florida Keys this winter will find it even easier as air access to Key West, the southernmost point of the continental USA, expands with the pre-Christmas launch of non-stop seasonal flights from Washington DC and New York City.
The new flights from Delta Airlines and US Airways join their existing flights and service by Southwest Airlines, American Airlines and United Airlines from destinations including Orlando, Tampa, Miami and Atlanta into the island city.
These US airports are all major arrival hubs for flights from the UK and Europe, making connections down to Key West easier and more numerous than ever before.
Non-stop US Airways flights between Washington DC’s Reagan National Airport and Key West International Airport are to be offered once daily from December 22nd 2012 until January 5th 2013, and then continue on a Saturday-only basis through April 2013.
Delta Airlines is to offer non-stop flights between New York’s LaGuardia Airport and the island city on December 22nd and 29th and January 5th 2013, and each Saturday from March 2nd through April 6th 2013.
