Millennium for Business debuts to small- and medium-sized enterprises around the world

Millennium Hotels & Resorts has launched a brand-new corporate bookings product, Millennium for Business.

Breathing new life into their previous offering, Business Direct, the new digital programme has been created for small- and medium-sized businesses, empowering them to manage team travel with flexibility and ease.

Millennium for Business offers an intuitive online booking experience that is integrated with the MyMillennium rewards programme.

The dedicated service, with its simple social sign-on and central dashboard allows the business to manage travel, make itinerary style bookings, cater to team member needs and earn rewards.

All bookings benefit from the updated best rate promise which helps the business maximise budgets; the service also gives travel managers access to insights and reporting.

Speaking to Breaking Travel News in London, Clive Harrington, chief commercial officer, Europe, for Millennium Hotels & Resorts, said: “This is very much a product aimed at businesses that are corporate in nature, but do all their own bookings.

“They may have a corporate negotiated rate, but they want to make sure that is the most they will ever pay.

“It is aimed at those who do not have a relationship with one of the larger travel management companies, those who book everything in house.”

Millennium Hotels & Resorts collaborated with the travel industry to design the benefits on offer to Millennium for Business users and guests such as regular room upgrades, 15 per cent off on all dining and events, early check-in and late check-out, and access to club or executive lounge.

Harrington added: “We are transitioning clients from Business Direct and the feedback has been very positive.

“We have digitised the whole process; our partners can now manage their own bookings and have reporting functionality, as well as access to rewards, all on one portal.”

This new programme is available across all hotels in Asia, Europe, Middle East and the US and is currently being rolled-out to all markets.

London, Paris, New York, Beijing, Los Angeles, Singapore and other destinations are on offer to the small- and medium-sized businesses for combining business and leisure trips, an up and coming trend seen within travel.

Of the new product, Millennium Hotels & Resorts senior vice president of digital, distribution and revenue strategy, Nayan Peshkar, said: “Small- and medium-sized enterprise travel managers told us that travel technology usage is both pervasive and individual at the same time therefore wanting a service that personalised corporate travel, though also needing it to be secure and fitting into their travel policies.

“Millennium for Business is a product that empowers them as the key target booker, having seen how under-represented they are in the business travel sector.

“This purely digital platform makes travel procurement efficient, secure and simple.”

The product was developed alongside a series of partners, including Sitecore, who were responsible for the content management system, Windsurfer, who took charge of the customer reservation system, and Metasphere, who contributed a bespoke customer-relationship management system.
