Louis Cruises adds third ship to Celestyal Cruises brand

Louis Cruises has announced the addition of a third ship to its Celestyal Cruises brand.

The company’s Celestyal brand, launched at World Travel Market in London in November, defines the “heavenly” cruises and real Greek experience passengers enjoy when they sail with Celestyal.

The new brand brings together authentic Greek cuisine, superlative hospitality, special themed events that take passengers deeper into Greek culture and history, thrilling entertainment, cruising and breathtaking destinations.

The new ship, the Celestyal Odyssey, was originally built in 2002 as the Olympia Explorer.

She is 24,318 tons and the perfect size, like her sister ships the Celestyal Crystal and the Celestyal Olympia, for docking in the smaller harbours throughout the Eastern Mediterranean which remain inaccessible to larger cruise ships.

Like the Crystal and Olympia, she will take passengers to some of the region’s undiscovered gems.

With 420 stylish cabins, she can accommodate 836 cruisers.

The Odyssey’s ambiance is truly Greek with Hellenic poems and names from mythology gracing its decks and public areas.

The Odyssey will be deployed in 2015 on Celestyal’s three and four day Iconic itineraries - Celestyal’s most popular offerings - in order to meet increased demand.
