JetBlue Airways expands Caribbean network
JetBlue Airways has confirmed plans to further expand its successful Caribbean network with the addition of Westchester County Airport’s (HPN) only international flight, offering daily non-stop service to Nassau, Bahamas (NAS).
In partnership with the Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board (NPIPB), services take off November 15th, 2011, subject to government approval.
To celebrate the launch of the new Caribbean service, JetBlue is offering a one-way sale fare of $129 for travel November 15th, 2011 through February 15th, 2012.
“JetBlue is excited to provide our Westchester and Fairfield County customers a simpler and more convenient way to access the Caribbean from their easy-in, easy-out local airport,” said Dave Barger, chief executive of JetBlue Airways.
“We are equally as proud to offer the only regularly scheduled non-stop service from Westchester to the Caribbean, and to work with such great partners at the Nassau Paradise Island Board.
JetBlue also offers multiple daily departures to Nassau for New York metro area customers from John F. Kennedy International.
“JetBlue has been an outstanding partner at our airport and we look forward to this continuing,” Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino concluded.
