IHG teams up with Superga for unique visitor experience

InterContinental Hotel Group’s boutique brand, Hotel Indigo, has joined forces with iconic shoe makers Superga to create limited-edition sightseeing shoes to encourage guests to explore the local neighbourhood in style.

The activity aims to drive awareness of the fact that every Hotel Indigo property is designed to reflect the local neighbourhood.

From the building’s design and architecture to the use of materials and artwork and locally-inspired menus, each Hotel Indigo is unique to its surroundings and no two hotels are the same.

Every property tells its own story and the Superga sightseeing shoes give Hotel Indigo guests the opportunity to experience what each neighbourhood has to offer in comfort and style.

The shoes, which will replace hotel slippers in all Hotel Indigo properties across the UK and Germany, have been created in an exclusive indigo pantone and showcase a unique design sketched onto the insole of each shoe which is distinctive to the particular city.

For example, a cotton reel sketch on the sole of the shoes offered to guests of Hotel Indigo Liverpool represents the cotton trading heritage of the city.

Guests will receive their complimentary shoes when they check in to any of the ten Hotel Indigo hotels in the UK and Germany from mid December 2013.
