Holidaybreak in talks with Cox & Kings over potential takeover

Cheshire-based Holidaybreak has confirmed it is in discussions with Cox & Kings over a potential takeover.

However, the group warned there can be “no certainty” any offer will ultimately be made.

Holidaybreak operates under multiple brands, serving customers in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and the Netherlands.

Brands include PGL, Keycamp and Eurocamp.

“Further to the announcement on July 25th 2011 and recent press speculation, the Board of Holidaybreak confirms that it is in discussions with Cox & Kings which may or may not lead to an offer for Holidaybreak at a price of 432.1 pence in cash per ordinary share,” read a statement from Holidaybreak.

“At this stage there can be no certainty that any offer for the company will be forthcoming.”

This announcement has been made without the consent of Cox & Kings Limited, added Holidaybreak.
