Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort & Spa has appointed Fiona Hagan as the new general manager.

An Australian national, Hagan has 23-years of hospitality experience, working in various positions within the industry including, revenue manager, director of sales and marketing and general manager.

Prior to joining the Shangri-La Hotel Group, she was the general manager of Le Meridien, Kota Kinabalu for three years, before moving over to The St. Regis in Changsha, China as the general manager of the pre-opening team.

With a very strong background in sales & marketing, Hagan has played a crucial role in revenue management and driving sales at Malaysia, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam and China.

“My family and I feel very welcomed here in Sabah, we consider Sabah our Malaysian home,” she said during her introduction in Rasa Ria.

When sharing about her plans as the new general manager for the employees and community, she said: “I am someone who likes to work with people, with a strong focus on the community and learning.

“I am also very passionate about developing opportunity for people, as it is our people who support and implement the successful business strategies to deliver success.”
