Four Points by Sheraton Edmonton Gateway opens

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. announced the opening of Four Points by Sheraton Edmonton Gateway. Owned and managed by Pacific Hospitality, the new hotel is the second in Edmonton and fourth in Alberta for the fast-growing Four Points brand, which now includes more than 160 hotels around the world.

The 154-room Four Points by Sheraton Edmonton Gateway showcases the brand’s “best for business” proposition for travellers seeking great hotels at great rates. Among its hallmarks are stylish and functional guest room workspace, free in-room internet, free WiFi in public spaces, and local craft beer through the brand-wide Best Brews program.  Five meeting rooms provide 5,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.

Ideally located, the hotel is just 15 km from Edmonton International Airport and Whyte Avenue with trendy shops and entertainment is just 15 minutes away. The hotel also features a White Spot Restaurant offering the freshest and finest ingredients for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a late-night snack.

Twenty-three Four Points hotels are slated to open in 2012 alone, giving it the second largest pipeline among all Starwood brands. Four Points now has 24 hotels open coast-to-coast in Canada, representing Starwood’s largest portfolio of hotels in the country.

“Four Points by Sheraton Edmonton Gateway brings the promise of consistently genuine service, stylish surroundings, and access to amenities and signature programs, all at an honest value,” said Brian McGuinness, Senior Vice President of Specialty Select Brands for Starwood. “We believe that Four Points’ contemporary style and ‘best for business’ services and amenities are an excellent fit for travellers to Alberta.”
