Enjoy the World Cup whilst on a cruise of a lifetime with Costa Cruises

Whilst World Cup fever is rising, Costa Cruises announces that, thanks to an agreement with Sky Italia, it will be broadcasting the FIFA World Cup 2010 on board 12 of its ships.

Costa Cruises, the largest Italian tourism group and Europe’s no.1 cruise company, will give its guests the chance to share in the adventure of the eagerly-awaited tournament; 12 live matches will be broadcast in total, each against the stunning backdrops of the Mediterranean or North Cape.

During the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2010 championship, to be held in South Africa from 11 June to 11 July, cruise guests on one of more than 20 itineraries will be able to cheer for their team on.

After enjoying the thrills and spills of the beautiful game, there’s nowhere better to celebrate or commiserate than out on the majestic sea with the ever-changing scenery that cruising affords.

The announcement continues Costa Cruises’ tradition of showing top sporting events onboard its ships: The Fifa World Cup 2006 semi-final and final matches, which saw Italy triumph was shown in an unforgettable and emotion-packed celebration on the central swimming pool deck’s giant screen on Costa Concordia!
