East Midlands Trains launches “tweet the Senior Team”
Train operator East Midlands Trains has announced plans to host its first ‘Tweet the Senior Team’, providing passengers with an opportunity to provide direct feedback or raise any issues with a selection of senior managers from the company.
During the ‘Tweeting’ session, which will take place between 16.00 and 17.30 on Monday 27 February, passengers willbe able to follow twitter.com/EMTrains, tweet@EMTrains, and receive an immediate response to any questions or issues raised. All questions and answers will then be posted at www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk after the session.
Ian Smith, Customer Service Director for East Midlands Trains, who will be taking part in ‘Tweet the Senior Team’,said: “We are always pleased to get feedback from our customersto help build on the work we are doing to drive up the quality of rail travel.
“Since the launch of the East Midlands Trains dedicated Twitter page, we have seen the number of people following us continue to grow. We are already providing useful service information to our followers, and we are now keen to use Twitter to engage as much as possible to get first hand feedback from our passengers.”
In addition to the dedicated Tweeting session, East Midlands Trains will be introducing a range of other initiatives to improve communication with passengers, including the launch of new ‘Meet the Senior Team’ sessions at stations and on trains.
