Customers using East Midlands Trains’ First Class Lounges at Derby, Nottingham and St Pancras will notice a difference to their waiting facilities following the completion of a interior refresh of the three station lounges.

In addition, a new First Class Lounge has now opened on Platform 2/3 at Kettering station representing a £30,000 investment.  The new lounge will be open from 05.45 to 18.30 every weekday and will offer complimentary drinks and snacks to First Class passengers.  WiFi is now available free of charge throughout Kettering station, including in the new First Class Lounge.

The new look First Class Lounges have been designed following passenger feedback and offer a relaxing and comfortable environment for customers to wait for their train.  There are new carpets, furniture and striking wall art providing a stylish new look.

Andy Moore, Head of Stations for East Midlands Trains, said: “Over the last year, we’ve invested over £1.5 million into the things we know will make a difference to customers using our stations.

“The new First Class Lounge at Kettering, coupled with the new look First Lounges at a number of our other stations will offer improved facilities and a more relaxing environment for our customers.”
