Delta Air Lines Announces Winners in Sweepstakes

Delta Air Lines today announced the grand prize winners of the airline`s
exclusive SkyBonus travel agent and corporate account sweepstakes. The
sweepstakes celebrates the continued success of Delta`s SkyBonus program
in the United States and to recognize the value of small- to medium-sized
companies. Winners were drawn at random from among thousands of
sweepstakes entrants for their participation in the SkyBonus program.
Travel agents, acting on behalf of companies they serve, were eligible for
the drawing after enrolling three or more corporations into the SkyBonus
program by Sept. 30, 2003, and companies with $5,000 to $500,000 in annual
Delta-flown revenue were eligible by simply enrolling online to start
earning points.
Terese Lawson, owner, US-1 Marine Parts & Dynoserv of Ormond Beach, Fla.,
is the grand prize winner of the SkyBonus corporate account sweepstakes.
She will enjoy a luxurious Bermuda vacation package including a five night
stay for two at the Grotto Bay Beach Resort Bermuda sponsored by the
Bermuda Department of Tourism. Roundtrip air transportation for two is
provided by Delta.
“SkyBonus offers great reward options, and being able to manage everything
online is convenient and easy. I will be recommending this program to
other companies like ours,” said Lawson.
Helyn Arango with Austin Travel in Melville, NY, is the grand prize winner
of the SkyBonus travel agent sweepstakes. She will enjoy a relaxing two
night stay for two at the Ocean Pointe Suites at Key Largo, Fla., provided
by Delta Vacations. Roundtrip air transportation for two is provided by
Delta.
“SkyBonus is a good program for my clients to earn rewards for flying
Delta. What distinguishes SkyBonus from others is its ease of ticketing. I
would definitely recommend the SkyBonus program to others,” said Arango.
With SkyBonus, customers may enroll online and use the ticketing channel
of their choice—including a traditional travel agency, an online travel
provider, Reservation Sales or delta.com. Companies with $5,000 to
$500,000 in annual Delta flown revenue earn points, which they can redeem
to reward employees, clients or anyone they choose. A choice of 19 rewards
includes free tickets, upgrades, in-flight courtesy coupons, Crown Room
Club memberships, Silver Medallion appointments and more.
“In today`s business travel marketplace, customer loyalty is more
important than ever before,” said Steve Scheper, Delta`s managing
director, Online Sales and Services. “We work very closely with our small-
to medium- sized business customers to ensure their unique travel needs
are fulfilled.”
