Jetstar, Australias value-based, low-fare airline, will commence services to Kuala Lumpur on September 9, 2007. Jetstar is a fully-owned subsidiary of Qantas Airways and is one of Australias most recognized brands.

In conjunction with the inaugural flight on September 9, 2007, Jetstar will be holding a media conference hosted by Mr Alan Joyce, Chief Executive Officer, Jetstar, and with Her Excellency, Ms Penny Williams, the Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia in attendance.
