May 2006 was a busy period for Monarch’s scheduled services with the airline carrying more passengers during the month than ever before. In previous years, the highest number of passengers carried during one month was in August 2005, when 303,547 people flew with the airline and was the first time passenger numbers had passed the 300,000 barrier.
