Hilton Latin America plans makeover

Hilton Latin America continues to set a standard for growth, with a $10 million makeover, new hotels in Nicaragua and Honduras, and development plans in Argentina.
Major renovations are being unveiled at Hilton Buenos Aires, Hilton Cartagena, Hilton Colon Guayaquil and Hilton Colon Quito. The improvements are transforming guestrooms, health clubs, meeting spaces, and public areas.

Travelers will also find exciting new packages and amenities at Hilton hotels in eight destinations.

NEW PROPERTIES:

—In April, Hilton opened Hilton Princess San Pedro Sula in Honduras and Hilton Princess Managua in Nicaragua. The agreement completes a three-property conversion deal that began with the Hilton Princess San Salvador in 2004.

—Hilton has announced plans to open a hotel in Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city, in 2007. The brand will ring in 2008 with a brand-new 5-star resort in Puerto Iguazu, site of Argentina’s second most visited destination Iguazu Falls. The resort will be one of the first to offer direct access to Iguazu Falls through boat tours departing from an on-site marina.

NEW PROGRAMS:

—Hilton Sao Paulo Morumbi’s “Live Like A Mogul” package is designed for today’s jetsetter. The $5,500 a night package features transfers on the new helicopter shuttle between Manhattan and JFK Airport, round-trip copter transfers between the hotel and Sao Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport, Presidential Suite accommodation, and daily spa treatments.

—Hilton Belem’s “Amazon Experience” package gives travelers seven days to explore the Amazon jungle, through daily walking and boat tours.

—Hilton Weekends delivers quick getaways to Latin America’s top destinations, with four unique packages offering spa, romance and family fun.

—Hilton Buenos Aires’ three-hour Vinoterapia spa treatment (AR $200) features Malbec wine and grapes, pure oils, floral essence, natural extracts, and honey.

—F&B Fanfare: Soccer fans can please their palettes during the FIFA World Cup(TM) with culinary festivals at Hilton Caracas and Hilton Sao Paulo Morumbi (June 9-July 9) and the German Festival at Hilton Cartagena (June 7-June 18). Classical music buffs will savor Hilton Colon Guayaquil’s Mozart Festival (June 2), featuring food, music and decor celebrating the composer’s 250th birthday.
