Delta Air Lines Launches Magazines and Newspapers

Delta Air Lines today announced that SkyMiles(R) program members now may
redeem miles online for various magazine and newspaper subscriptions.
Redemption opportunities begin at 400 miles, and selections include
well-known titles such as TIME, Barron’s, Entrepreneur, Travel + Leisure
and more. To celebrate the launch of this program, members will receive a one-time
bonus of 100 miles for their first subscription order placed on or before
June 15, 2004.

“Delta is continually looking for ways to customize the SkyMiles program
and offer rewards that are valuable to our members,” said Robert Borden,
SkyMiles program director. “Members have told us they would like more non-
transportation mileage redemption opportunities in addition to the
existing redemption opportunities—such as upgrades, Crown Room Club
memberships and Award Travel—that we offer.”

Members may conveniently redeem miles and choose magazines and newspapers
at delta.com/skymiles. For example, members may currently subscribe to:

  - The Wall Street Journal (52 weeks) for 1,300 miles
  - Sports Illustrated (52 weeks) for 2,100 miles
  - Black Enterprise (52 weeks) for 900 miles
  - Hispanic Business (52 weeks) for 600 miles

Delta is working with Customer Activation Programs (CAP), an affiliate of
Synapse Group, Inc., to process orders and secure subscriptions for
SkyMiles program members. Synapse Group, Inc. currently markets a broad
range of consumer magazine titles through relationships with credit card
issuers, consumer catalog companies, commercial airlines and Internet
businesses. Delta’s miles for magazines website is powered by MilePoint.
