British Airways hit by baggage problems at Terminal 5
Officials at British Airways are doubtless experiencing a sense of déjà vu today after a baggage system problem caused delays to passengers at Heathrow Airport.
The situation is reminiscent of the problems the carrier experienced when the terminal first opened, with hundreds of passengers delayed.
Passengers were unable to check in baggage at Terminal 5 due to a computer problem.
Approximately 500 passengers were affected.
However, the situation has now been rectified.
A brief statement from Heathrow read: “An IT problem earlier this morning which prevented some passengers at Terminal 5 from checking-in has now been resolved.”
All flights were unaffected.
