Booking.com launches Booking Now app for Android
Booking.com has expanded its mobile presence with the launch of Booking Now for Android.
Android users can now indulge in last-minute holidays in as little as two taps, choosing from Booking.com’s vast selection of over 670,000 properties in more than 79,000 unique destinations.
Booking Now for Android can be completely tailored to each user’s unique traveller profile, filtering by personal preferences such as price, Wi-Fi, breakfast and parking requirements.
The app for Android automatically generates accommodation suggestions based on travellers’ exact street level location and individual preferences, while geo-location technology provides users with step-by step directions right to the front door of each property.
Some 86 per cent of global travellers are likely to book accommodation using a smartphone in 2015, with 85 per cent agreeing that because technology makes booking on the go easier, they can be more spontaneous when it comes to taking trips.

“We know there is a growing demand for instantaneous and on-the-move travel with almost half of worldwide reservations made within 48 hours being booked on a mobile device, a significant portion of these being on an Android,” says Stuart Frisby, principal designer at Booking.com.
“We aim to really empower our consumers through technology, enabling them to book accommodation that’s just right for them, no matter the screen or device.
“Booking Now for Android really is the ideal on-the-go solution and travel ‘buddy’ for all Android users.”
With last-minute bookings peaking in the UK in August, Booking Now for Android has been launched just in time for travellers to unleash their spontaneous spirit by effortlessly and instantly making a reservation at the nearest property that matches their personal preferences.
