American Express Global Business Travel appoints UK leadership

American Express Global Business Travel has announced the appointment of Jason Geall as vice president and General Manager for the United Kingdom.

In this role, Geall will be responsible for GBT’s growth and development across the UK. 

Geall will report to Elyes Mrad, managing director, EMEA, American Express Global Business Travel.

Geall was previously the chief executive at the fast-growth digital student community organisation, the Student Room Group.

Prior to this he held the positions of chief marketing officer and later EMEA managing director at GetThere, a leading provider of internet-based corporate travel procurement and supply services primarily for businesses and travel suppliers.

“Jason has demonstrated experience in driving effective growth and has proven himself as a successful leader across a number of industries – including corporate travel,” said Mrad.

“In addition, as American Express Global Business Travel looks to further invest in our digital and mobile strategy, Jason’s experience in digital services makes him a valuable addition to our EMEA leadership team.”

In addition to his new role, Geall will also play an instrumental role in the development of GBT’s business strategy across Europe.
