Jayride’s 2023 Round-up - Blazing a Trail in the Airport Transfer Industry

Jayride has embraced innovation in 2023, with data and technological advancements, including automated services, which have enhanced their offering to customers and partners. Strategic changes, acquisitions, and marketing efforts have further solidified Jayride’s position as a leading platform in the airport transfer market.

AirportShuttles.com Acquisition
In February 2023 Jayride announced the acquisition of AirportShuttles.com and the associated website assets.

Jayride Group co-founder Rod Bishop commented earlier this year “The assets we are acquiring are a compelling fit with our growth strategy to build the world’s leader in rides for travellers. The traffic to the AirportShuttles.com website enhances the scale of our group, particularly in the United States, and accelerates our path to cash flow positive.”

The move came ahead of the busy summer season in the Northern Hemisphere and supports customers in Europe and the US, which together account for two-thirds of the company’s customer base.

The company also introduced a range of new tools in order to improve both the user and supplier experience. These include Ride Tracker for every driver which has led to an increase in engagement from major travel partners. The positive impact of the tool bodes well for future partnerships. Jayride is committed to continuous innovation, and this will carry on into 2024.

Revamped Agent Portal
In August 2023, the business announced that it had revamped its agent portal to include a dedicated concierge service, additional extras, and extensive payment options.

Agents can monetise to the last mile and support local in-destination businesses. A new user-friendly search engine function made it easier than ever to get a tailored quote with a simple filtering system for vehicle type or size, additional services, star ratings and price ranges.

Jayride sends agents booking transfers, a customer voucher with detailed information, including supplier name, driver contact details and meeting instructions.

Agents can be onboarded within 24 hours at no cost, with Flex Travel Solutions enabling the platform to facilitate automated commission payments and transaction reconciliation.

The new concierge service extends the offering beyond just the airport, with a 24-hour team on-hand to provide an elevated service, curating an agent’s itinerary, including non-airport transfers, group bookings and more.

These updates provide agents with “even easier access to airport transport companies that cover more than 95% of world airport trips.”
