Viceroy Hotel Group expands Middle East team

Viceroy Hotel Group has announced three key appointments at the company’s global holdings.

Tricia Warwick has joined Viceroy Hotel Group as regional vice president of sales & marketing, Europe, Middle East & Africa, based in the UAE, while Christophe Victor has been appointed as director of sales for Viceroy Maldives.

These appointments follow Jane O’Shea’s selection as regional director of sales & marketing for the group in the UK.

Warwick has close to 30 years expertise in international tourism and has held a number of senior roles in the UK including head of leisure sales for British Airways.

In 2001 she moved to Dubai where she joined Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts as vice president of sales before joining Kerzner International as senior vice president of international sales & marketing.

In 2011, Warwick set up her own representation and consultancy business, working with luxury hotel companies such as One&Only, Six Senses Resorts and LUX* Resorts for the Gulf markets.

Based out of the UAE, her new appointment will give her responsibility for global sales, marketing and public relations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Indian Ocean.

“Tricia has an excellent knowledge of what sales should deliver to our stakeholders and a wealth of industry contacts at her fingertips”, explained Viceroy chief executive Bill Walshe.

“She also has that rare ability to build incredibly strong relationships with everyone, from colleagues to customers to business partners, and her appointment will be a key component for our future success.”

Prior to joining the group, Christophe Victor has worked at some of the regions’ most prestigious properties including Labriz Silhouette in the Seychelles and at the five-star Velassaru in the Maldives as director of sales and marketing.

Based in Abu Dhabi, Christophe will be responsible for promoting one of the group’s newest properties, Viceroy Maldives.

Located in the Shaviyani Atoll, 192km from Male International Airport, Viceroy Maldives is the only resort in the atoll to date making it one of the most exclusive and secluded resorts in the destination.

Jane O’Shea, who is located in central London, will be setting up a dedicated UK Regional Sales office for the group and oversee the management of sales and marketing, predominantly in the UK, but also within Ireland and Scandinavia.
