Ryanair in social media focus

Ryanair has joined Instagram, offering behind the scenes images of life inside the low cost carrier, snapshots of its 190 destinations and the chance for customers to share their favourite Ryanair photos and experiences through the @Ryanair account.

Instagram is Ryanair’s latest social media platform, following the launch of its Twitter account, which has almost 150,000 followers, and its YouTube channel and LinkedIn account, with further platforms set to follow, as part of its “Always Getting Better” improvement programme.

To celebrate its new Instagram account, Ryanair is giving away €100 flight vouchers to five lucky winners. To enter, customers should simply perform their best airplane impersonation and post their ‘Wingsie’ photo on Instagram, tagging @Ryanair and including the hashtags #wingsie and #Ryanair30.

Ryanair’s Head of Communications, Robin Kiely said: “Ryanair is pleased to launch our new Instagram account as we continue to grow our social media presence and offering.

“We are already the fastest responding airline on Twitter, while our YouTube videos have been viewed over 3m times, and we look forward to branching out onto other social platforms in the coming months. To celebrate our Instagram launch, we’re giving away five €100 flight vouchers. Customers should pull their best ‘wingsie’, post their pic on Instagram and tag our @Ryanair account.” Added Kiely.
