Fourth European Golf Design Course in Belek, Turkey

European Golf Design are to design an 18 hole high quality resort golf course in Belek, Turkey.  Appointed by Belek Emlak ve Ticaret AS, a well established developer with extensive experience in Turkey and Asia, the site is located on the Mediterranean coast close to Antalya. 

Since the Turkish Ministry of Tourism designated this area of Belek for golf tourism several courses have been developed, however the Olivion Golf Resort development will be the first course to be built in this region with freehold residential units available for sale. Accompanying the golf course will be a Boutique hotel and sports academy.

Master planning has been completed by WATG, who will also be responsible for the landscaping and architectural concepts of the resort.  GEO are providing a sustainability blueprint. Detailed design work for the golf course is now underway with construction due to start before the end of 2010, the course will open for play during 2012.

This is the fourth course European Golf Design have worked on in the Belek region of Antalya, the previous three being the Sultan and Pasha courses at Antalya Golf Club, and the Montgomerie Course at Papillon Golf Club.
