Emirates air stewardess charged for drink-flying

An air stewardess has been charged after she was found to be eight times over the drink flying limit on a Emirates Boeing 777 UK-bound flight from Dubai.

Stephanie Partington, 24, was charged under the Civil Aviation Act and pleaded guilty to being under the influence of alcohol during the UK-bound flight.

Parington was arrested when the plane landed in Birmingham International Airport on April 23 after the concerned staff called the police.
Blood tests, which revealed she was eight times over the limit for flight attendants, resulted in her being fired from Emirates.

Partington was fned £110 during a court case on Monday.
