Centara upgrades website for trade partners

Travel industry rates, central to all industry business conducted via the website, are displayed on the landing page.

The website upgrade, which can be found at www.chr.co.th, is launched at the same time as Centara’s new corporate website designed to intensify its online presence and marketing operations.

Centara is Thailand’s largest operator of hotels, with currently 61 properties at key destinations throughout the kingdom, and overseas hotels in the Maldives, Indian Himalayas, Philippines, Vietnam, Bali in Indonesia, and Mauritius in the Indian Ocean.

“Our new corporate website is more user-friendly, informative, and modern in its design, and reflects the direction in which the company is moving in terms of expansion and image,” said Chris Bailey, Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing for Centara Hotels&Resorts.

Also in Thailand today, City.Mobi is celebrating the success of its new guide to Bangkok.

City.Mobi offers the most comprehensive mobile travel guides available, with over 800 cities in 200 countries listed. Each is developed by the City.Mobi team to combine into a single global travel directory.

However, each city retains its own mobile identity via a dedicated domain. Already on offer are Brussels.Mobi, Paris.Mobi, Sanfrancisco.Mobi and Sydney.Mobi.

Bangkok.mobi is the latest in this illustrious line up, offering click to call functionality – which means no scribbling down telephone numbers.

Most entries are also linked to websites where users can quickly access more detailed information if needed.

Other key features include information on accommodation, restaurants, attractions, entertainment, nightlife, shopping, and transport.

City.Mobi guides include user reviews and traveller utilities such as a translation guide, currency converter, news and local weather guide.


“In addition we have greatly upgraded and simplified our online information and reservations system for the travel and hospitality industry on the site designed specifically for our trade partners,” he said.

Centara Hotels&Resorts currently operates 44 deluxe and first-class properties covering all the major tourist destinations in Thailand. A further 17 resorts in the Maldives, Indian Himalayas, Philippines, Vietnam, Bali Indonesia, and Mauritius Indian Ocean, brings the present total to 61 properties. Brands and properties within Centara ensure that specific categories such as couples, families, individuals, and meetings and incentives groups will all find a hotel or resort that is appropriate to their needs.
