has announced a deal to supply adventure travel specialist Guerba with its browser-based TraveLLusions.net system, providing the tour operator with a complete reservations and management environment to handle agency and consumer bookings.
Established in 1980, Guerba is one of the leading players in its marketplace, operating over 260 trips and expeditions to over 60 countries worldwide.
TraveLLusions.net will power the tour operator`s online distribution, offering agents and consumers bookings through Guerba`s website, covering the company`s extensive range of adventure tours worldwide, including overland safaris, walking and trekking holidays and cultural expeditions.
The system will additionally provide Guerba with a state-of-art customer relationship management (CRM) solution, ensuring customer information is accessible throughout the company, relationships are maintained and customers are upsold based on their purchasing histories.
Guerba has said it decided to take TraveLLusions.net because it is one of the only browser-based industry solutions that can automate every aspect of a tour opertor`s business, from the back-office to sales channels.
Another deciding factor was TraveLLusions.net`s incorporation of XML, the breakthrough technology that enables tour operators to distribute to third-party websites and agents without relying on existing industry distribution channels. XML is seen as more cost-effective than traditional distribution methods such as viewdata, and is gradually being recognised as the future standard for industry.
