Jim Murren Appointed CFO Of MGM Grand, Inc.

MGM Grand, Inc. (NYSE: MGG) today
announced the appointment of James J. Murren as Executive Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer.  Mr. Murren will also serve as a member of the Board
of Directors and its Executive Committee.

“Jim brings a wealth of financial, capital market, and banking experience.
It is indeed an honor to have such a top ranked and widely respected financial
figure become part of the MGM Grand family, ” said J. Terrence Lanni, Chairman
and Chief Executive Officer of MGM Grand, Inc.

“I cannot think of a more qualified person to perform the role of Chief
Financial Officer for MGM Grand.  Jim`s appointment to the position of CFO
takes MGM Grand to a totally different level, ” said Alex Yemenidjian,
President and Chief Operating Officer of MGM Grand, Inc.

Mr. Murren has spent the last 14 years in senior management positions at
Deutsche Morgan Grenfell and the former Cyrus J. Lawrence, Inc. where he has
played an integral role in the development of Deutsche Bank`s brokerage and
investment banking effort.  Mr. Murren began his career as a senior equity
research analyst in consumer products, was promoted to Senior Vice President
in 1990, and to Managing Director and Deputy Director of Research in 1992.  He
served as Co-Director of Research of Deutsche Morgan Grenfell`s equity
research department from 1994 to 1997.  Currently, Mr. Murren is Managing
Director and head of the global gaming, lodging and leisure group of DMG.  He
has been a top ranked equity research analyst since 1992.

Mr. Murren is a member of the Barbieri Endowment Board of Trinity College,
and has been active in numerous civic organizations.  He received his Bachelor
of Arts degree from Trinity College, Hartford, CT, and is a Chartered
Financial Analyst.
