Aer Lingus Sweeps The Boards At Awards Ceremony

Aer Lingus was voted tops in three categories at the annual Irish Travel Trade News Awards ceremony on January 21st.

The awards are voted on by Ireland`s 450 travel agents and were presented to the airline`s Marketing Director, David Bunworth by the Minister for Public Enterprise, Mrs Mary O`Rourke, T.D. at a ceremony in Jury`s Hotel.

The awards received by Aer Lingus were:

* Best Airline - Ireland-Europe/U.K.

* Best Airline - Ireland-Transatlantic
* Best Travel Marketing programme
Commenting on the awards, Mr Bunworth said they were a tribute to the staff in Aer Lingus who are dedicated to delivering quality customer service. “The investment in new aircraft and the continued upgrading of our products and services is being recognised by our customers but the challenge is to continue to provide a better level of service which clearly differentiates Aer Lingus from our competitors,” said Mr Bunworth. “We are fully committed to this goal”, he added.
