Northwest Airlines Introduces

Northwest Airlines today announced that it has entered into a promotion with E*TRADE Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: EGRP) from July 8 - September 30, 2000, that will offer WorldPerks members an opportunity to earn up to 50,000 Northwest WorldPerks Bonus Miles when they open an E*TRADE brokerage account.

“Our partnership with E*TRADE is another example of our on-going effort to enrich the value of being a Northwest WorldPerks member,” said Russ Hinckley, Northwest Director WorldPerks marketing. “This partnership will further expand the ways in which our members can earn miles. In addition to flying, WorldPerks members can quickly earn miles from a wide range of options such as hotel stays, credit-card use, long-distance phone service, mortgage services, and now, on-line personal financial services.”

The program is only available to WorldPerks members who open an E*TRADE brokerage account with a minimum initial deposit of $1,000. WorldPerks members will earn 5,000 Bonus Miles for opening an E*TRADE account with the minimum initial deposit, and they will earn 10,000 Bonus Miles for a deposit of $10,000 or 25,000 Bonus Miles for a deposit of $50,000. As E*TRADE customers, WorldPerks members will also earn 5,000 Bonus Miles for each referred friend that opens an E*TRADE account. Through this program WorldPerks members can earn up to 50,000 Bonus Miles per year.
