Viva finalises Royal Aruban Air agreements

Viva International, Inc. announced today that it has completed its agreements with Royal Aruban Airlines on behalf of Hardyston Distributors, Inc., Its wholly owned subsidiary, to acquire a 49% shareholder interest. The agreement has received the approval of the Aruban Minister of Transportation Edison Briesen.
It was also announced that Royal Aruban`s President and CEO, Eric Hagens has agreed to continue to serve the Company in those roles. Mr. Hagens has been Royal Aruban`s President from the Company`s inception.
Stuart Carnie, President and CEO of Viva International, Inc., commenting from Aruba said, “I am pleased to announce the completion and execution of agreements with Royal Aruban. The amount of support and enthusiasm from Minister Briesen has been encouraging as has been the support of the Aruban Tourism Authority. Mr. Hagens has seen our plan and his decision to stay on board indicates further endorsement of how well we expect Royal Aruban to fit into the Viva Family. Our expected commencement of flight operations is still on target and Mr. Hagens and I will concentrate on sorting through the remaining details to get us in the air. Royal Aruban Airlines yesterday received final authorisation from the Aruban Department of Civil Aviation for operations from Aruba to Fort Lauderdale utilising equipment from Miami based Falcon Air Express.
