BCD Travel has expanded its operations in India through the acquisition of A.V. Tours and Travel Pvt. Ltd., an independent travel management company headquartered in Hyderabad.

The acquisition of A.V. Tours and Travel, which recorded over US$7 million in sales in 2006, represents a major expansion for BCD Travel in the growing Hyderabad market. Mr. Venkatesh Muthigi, managing director, A.V. Tours and Travel, will join the senior management team of BCD Travel in India.
